LexisNexis HPCC Systems Version 4.0 now available

ATLANTA, USA: LexisNexis Risk Solutions, announced the availability of version 4.0 of HPCC Systems, an open-source, enterprise-proven platform for Big Data analysis and processing for large volumes of data in 24/7 environments. The enhancements provide new functionality for customers, more flexibility for developers, support for other programming languages, and better user experience.

"With 4.0, developers and analysts can enhance code that they already have, and take advantage of the improved capabilities and performance in areas including machine learning, data integration, real-time search and retrieval, and advanced analytics," said Flavio Villanustre, VP, Products and Infrastructure, HPCC Systems, LexisNexis.

New Eclipse Plugin, Improvements to Machine Learning and Now Supporting Java, Python and R Code

An integrated platform, HPCC Systems scales to several thousand nodes, and its typical configurations require fewer nodes to deliver the same processing power as competitors' solutions. Enhancements include:

- Offers enhanced interoperability with the Eclipse Integrated Development Environment;

- Adds the ability to use Python, JavaScript, C++, Java and R code in addition to the HPCC Systems open source Enterprise Control Language (ECL);

- Offers a framework for creating, packaging and managing installable ECL code components; and

- Improves machine learning functionality with significant speed up and scaling.

Beyer. "Technology advances create new sources of content, while the basic processes for using analytics to make decisions is becoming easier and more mainstream."
