Lenovo ThinkPad L450 will come preloaded with Ubuntu

BENGALURU, INDIA: In a deal that will mark the first launch of Canonical and Lenovo in India, Lenovo will start shipping Ubuntu preloaded laptops with its ThinkPad L450, this month onward.

The laptops will be available to purchase from selected commercial resellers and distributors throughout the region at prices starting from Rs 40,000.

The Thinkpad L450 laptop models feature 14-inch HD displays, Intel Core i3 5005U and i5 52000U processors, in addition to 4 GB RAM and 500 GB hard drives.

The Thinkpad L450 laptop series will come preloaded with Ubuntu 14.04 which offers support and maintenance for five years from release date. In addition, it comes with touch screen enhancements and works seamlessly on hiDPI monitors.
