To make people aware about the police station functions, the international human rights NGO, Commonwealth Human Rights Initiative (CHRI) is releasing the Virtual Police Station (VPS) online application today in New Delhi.

VPS was a first of its kind training project developed with the cooperation of the Rajasthan Police to be used as next generation police training tool.

The Virtual Police Station application will allow people to enter a police station virtually, let them explore every room with a 360 degrees view and interact with the many people and objects you would find in an actual police station.

Using videos, text boxes and key resources, a user can learn the many processes and procedures that are performed everyday such as arrest, registering a case of sexual assault, witness interviews, interrogation, storing of case property, handling cases involving juveniles, and more.

The multi-language program works both online and offline, is completely integrated to social media.
