BANGALORE: Leading Edge Systems Limited has changed its name to Trigyn
Technologies with immediate effect. According to a release, Trigyn Technologies
would encompass the combined businesses of Leading Edge Systems and eCapital
Solutions, which was acquired by Leading Edge earlier this year. The company has
received the approval of its shareholders for the change in name.
The combined turnover of the companies which now make up Trigyn Technologies
Limited for the year ended March 31, 2000 was $20.28 million (Rs 90.27 crore).
Trigyn Technologies has drawn up aggressive plans to double its turnover in the
ensuing year. "Acquisitions and mergers will be central to our growth
strategy," said Trigyn Technologies director Atul Kamath. Shareholders also
approved the company's plan to acquire Applisoft Inc., a US-based software
company, for $9 million.
Trigyn, which will be headed by Suresh Rajpal as president and CEO, will have
three key focus areas–e-business, telecommunications and financial services.
It will offer products and services in each of these segments, the release
added. The company also plans to spin off separate subsidiaries for marketing
and support of two of its products, eVector and eCRM. "While these
companies will be controlled by Trigyn Technologies, the management structure
would be independent, enabling them to raise the required funding and focus on
marketing the products worldwide. This will also be our strategy for other
products which are currently in the pipeline," explained Kamath.
