BANGALORE, INDIA: Lantiq and ZyXEL Communications announced that ZyXEL’s LTE5121LTE solutions multi-service gateway now supports Voice over LTE (VoLTE).
Having VoLTE on a fixed LTE gateway platform allows communications carriers to deliver wireless broadband triple-play services to subscribers, says a release.

Lantiq’s XWAY GRX288Broadband network processor that powers the LTE5121 gateway manages VoLTE software stack, which provides native voice and other rich media services. Lantiq also provides the required voice-line service chip (XWAY SLIC110) needed to use standard phone terminals in a home or small business, adds the release.
