Talking about foray into India, Jhilam Nandi, Marketing Manager—India, Kovair said, “We already have a development center in Kolkata and looking at the vast opportunity in the country, Kovair decided to launch a full fledged marketing and sales unit in India.”

Speaking about the stake in India, Bipin Shah, CEO, Kovair said, “India represents a fairly significant opportunity for application lifecycle management (ALM) and IT service management (ITSM) solutions. We are very excited to serve new customers in this market, who are large and mid-size India-based companies, the Global Fortune 500 companies and companies that serve their outsourced product development and IT services needs. This creates an entire spectrum of customer base of all sizes.”

In the initial phase, the company is aiming to expand its channel base across India and plans to conduct its business through the channels.“We will be routing our products through channels only. In this regard, I have already spoken to many channel partners in Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Chennai and am very optimistic about their response,” Nandi said.

Speaking about the competition in the space, Nandi stated, “In the field of application development there are already big players. We have taken a holistic approach regarding software cycle and the solution we offer is an integrated one rather than cascading into different stages,” Nandi stated.
