Konica Minolta has been distributing its office equipment in Thailand through local distributorship. In light of high expectation for further economic growth and increasing demand, it became essential to formulate a sales strategy to better meet the specific needs in the Thai market and thoroughly focus on the local customers.

Konica Minolta decided to establish the new subsidiary, Konica Minolta Business Solutions (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (BTH), to make committed efforts to increase sales in this promising market.

On April 25, 2014, BTH concluded with Inter Far East Engineering Public Company Ltd., Thai distributor of Konica Minolta, a business transfer agreement under which Inter Far East Engineering Public's office equipment business is transferred to BTH. The transaction is expected to become effective on July 1, 2014.

With the establishment of the new subsidiary, Konica Minolta will further improve customer satisfaction and enhance business development capabilities through marketing empowerment, expansion and creation of sales channel, and provision of superior customer service, among others.
