The LumiCam 1300 luminance and colorimetry camera is designed to meet the needs of manufacturers and OEM customers with taking measurements of displays, LED indicator lamps, and multifunction information displays. The high-resolution CCD image sensor allows complex luminance distributions to be measured within seconds.

The LumiCam benefits can be summarized as follows:

* Substantial time-savings with simultaneous capture of a large number of measurements in a single image

* Image-processing functions integrated in the software permit automated methods of analysis, e.g. calculation of homogeneity or contrast

* Short measurement cycles and simple setup of intuitive pass/fail criteria for use in production environments

"Our new partnership with Instrument Systems has allowed us to expand our target market with a diverse range of measurement instruments for testing flat panel displays, mobile appliances, multifunction panels and graphics. The LumiCam 1300 is the perfect extension to the Konica Minolta light and display measurement portfolio of products," said Mark Lyon, Konica Minolta Sensing Midwest regional sales manager, Radiometric Products.

"It offers engineers a competitive advantage with its speed, advanced software, and precise measurements in R&D environments," added Lyon.
