The facility is being used to acknowledge petitions received by the Chief Minister's office and send responses to those.

ePost is an innovative service of India Post which seeks to enable customers to send their messages to any address in the country, whether or not the receiver has access to electronic mail facility.

This service is offered by combining the benefits of electronic transmission with the greatest strength of the postal department - its large physical network and last mile reach.

It is language neutral because the data is transmitted through scanning. The transmitted data is downloaded in the nearest ePost centre (normally a head post office) and the last mile reach is provided through the traditional mode of physical delivery by postmen.
