Kenya Airways implements Oracle E-Business Suite

HYDERABAD,INDIA: Satyam Computer Services Ltd. a consulting and information technology services provider, and Oracle announced today that the Oracle E-Business Suite has been successfully implemented for Kenya Airways.

The Oracle Applications have streamlined the airline's financial, human resources and procurement processes and enhanced its ability to manage people, processes and resources, said a press release. This would help Kenya Airways to run its overall business more effectively and become more competitive in its market.

"We are proud to have helped Kenya Airways create a single, integrated system that streamlines administration and facilitates information access," said Satyam's Sriram Papani, senior vice president - Oracle Practice.

"The airline now benefits from consistent data enabling its management to leverage accurate information and make critical strategic decisions quickly."

"With Oracle's open and standards-based applications, Kenya Airways has the foundational applications and technology platform to enable improved business processes across the enterprise," said Oracle's David Anderson - VP Global Services, Transportation and Construction Industries.

In addition, Kenya Airways employees will be able to handle important tasks like procurement and expense management much more quickly, effectively and accurately, the release added.

"We view this as a significant step forward in our strategic decision to upgrade all our major systems to deliver improved customer service in the face of increasing competition," said Kenya Airways Finance Director Neil Canty.
