Kavveri Telecom bags Hutch, Idea contracts

BANGALORE: Kavveri Telecom Products Limited, manufacturer of Antennas and RF products for the wireless industry in India has received Rate Contract from Hutch and Idea to supply seeder cables, connectors and accessories for their base stations roll out for all their circles for the year 2007.

Kavveri said in a statement that it is also looking towards closing similar deals with other operators and is strengthening its manpower resources to cater to this additional business. The Hutch and Idea orders are approximately Rs 40 crore each.

“After the acquisition announcement of a North American technology company, Til-Tek (Canada), early this year, these contracts with Hutch and Idea have set us on a growth path which will see Kavveri as one of the most significant players in the telecom space. Synergizing the strengths of our North American arm and the Indian operations would also enable us to bring excellent value to all our customers and investors” said Shivakumar Reddy, MD, Kavveri Telecom Products Ltd.

Kavveri’s clientele in India include Motorola, Ericsson, Nokia, Nortel, ZTE, Alcatel-Lucent, Hutch, Idea, Reliance, Spice, BSNL, WorldSpace etc.
