BANGALORE: Karnataka Government would support TCS'
demand for land in Tier 2 cities in the State.
According to reports, TCS has Rs 1100 crore expansion plans in Karnataka. “TCS
is looking at expanding in Bangalore and other Tier 2 cities. They haven't
asked for land in Bangalore. However, they have land requirement in Tier 2
cities, and the government will support their requirement,' said B V Naidu,
director, Software Technology Parks of India.
TCS is planning to expand in its existing facilities in ITPL and elsewhere in
the city, he added.
The company is looking out to expand in Bangalore, Mysore, Mangalore and Hubli.
TCS, earlier this month had said that it would invest Rs 500 crore for a 50-acre
development facility in Pune with a 5,000-seat capacity and ramp it up later to
10,000 people.
