Kanbay CFO Weissman joins AeA board

ROSEMONT, Ill.: Kanbay International, Inc., a global IT services firm focused on providing solutions to the financial services industry, today announced that Bill Weissman, executive vice president, chief financial officer, and secretary of Kanbay, has joined the National Board of Directors of AeA (formerly known as the American Electronics Association), the largest non-profit trade association for the United States technology industry.

The AeA National Board is made up of 50 executives from AeA's 2,500 member companies. Together with other AeA National Board members, Weissman will provide guidance for AeA's success and strategic direction, and will specifically be part of the Board's Finance & Business Policy Committee.

The Finance & Business Policy Committee seeks to promote favorable business conditions for technology companies through programs involving federal fiscal policy, equity debt markets, securities regulation, taxation (tax reform), accounting and corporate governance.

In addition to his AeA National Board membership, Weissman will also serve on the Midwest Council Executive Board of AeA to promote the Midwest as a region of excellence for technology innovation.

"Through his leadership role at Kanbay, Bill Weissman brings global best practices of financial management expertise to AeA's National Board," said Ed Longanecker, Executive Director, AeA Midwest Council. "Bill will also provide specific insights on innovation and transformation -- two crucial topics that are top on the minds of AeA's members."
