BANGALORE: Juniper Networks, Inc. today announced the new Secure Access (SA) 6000 SP, the industry's first platform designed to enable service providers to deliver additional revenue generating network-based SSL VPN managed services.
Leveraging its deep knowledge of the service provider market and its industry leading SSL VPN technology, Juniper Networks is delivering a new carrier-class SSL VPN
solution with end-to-end virtualization capabilities that enables service providers to offer remote and extranet access, disaster recovery and Intranet LAN security services (e.g. wireless LAN, VoIP) to their enterprise customers worldwide.
“We are seeing strong interest for SSL VPN services from our customers, which provide significant benefits that include clientless access for diverse end-user constituencies, as well as allow us to provide end-user administrators granular application-layer access and detailed auditing,” said Stephen Ho, CEO of CPCNet, a Hong Kong-based communications service provider.
According to growth consulting company Frost & Sullivan, Juniper Networks
led the Asia Pacific SSL VPN market with a 35 percent share in the first quarter of 2005, up from an average share of 30 percent in 2004. Frost & Sullivan recognised Juniper's achievement in this category with its SSL VPN Market Leadership Award in 2004.
