NEW DELHI, INDIA: Jivi has introduced a whole new range of smartphones to cater to the burgeoning market of affordable smartphones in India.

Pankaj Anand, CEO, Jivi Mobiles, said, “Buoyed by the phenomenal success of our lowest priced Android phone and the lowest priced quad-core Android phone, we intend to extend the benefits of technology to the masses at prices that don’t burn a hole in their pockets.The objective is to trigger one of the largest conversions of feature phone users to smartphone users.”

According to Harsh Vardhan, head – marketing, Jivi Mobiles, “All three models - Jivi JSP 29, Jivi JSP 38 and Jivi JSP 47 – are endowed with the latest version of Android KITKAT 4.4 operating system. These 3G phones have WiFi and Bluetooth in terms of connectivity. What’s more, users can generate WiFi hotspot for enabling Internet access on devices in vicinity.”

The external memory is expandable up to 32 GB using a micro-SD card. They also have a Jivi App Store icon through which users can download games, songs, videos and other interesting multimedia content. All three models are available in black and white colour variants.

The Jivi JSP 47, available for Rs 4,199 is a dual core smartphone. It has a 4.5” bright Full Touch Capacitive screen that displays content vividly enough. It has anIPS Panel (Full Wide Video Graphics Array In-Plane Switching) - a screen technology used for LCDs that enables faster response, clear visibility from any angle and high quality colour reproduction enhancing the screen resolution to 480 x 854. A 5.0 megapixel camera on the rear for capturing true-to-life images as well as videos and a front camera that enables video chats makes it a must have for selfie obsessed generation. All of this is coupled with global positioning system (GPS) so that users can always find their way around.

The 1.2 GHz Dual Core processor with 4GB ROM and 512 MB that allows multitasking. This phone is a sheer delight for those who like to watch videos or play games online - on the go. It has a 1650 mAh battery that lasts reasonably long.

The Jivi JSP 38, available for Rs 3,299, has a 4.0” full touch capacitive screen with a resolution of WVGA 480*800 (~217 ppi pixel density); dual camera - 5.0 megapixel camera on the rear and a VGA camera in front; A-GPS; 1 GHz processor; 256 MB RAM, 512 MB ROM; and a battery of 1500 mAh.

The Jivi JSP 29, available for Rs 2,999, has a 3.5” bright capacitive screen; dual camera - 2.0 megapixel on the rear and a VGA camera in front,1 GHz processor,A-GPS, 512MB of ROM, 256 MB RAM; and a 1450 mAh battery.
