Jeff White replaces Naresh Wadhwa as Cisco India head

BANGALORE, INDIA: Cisco Systems has appointed Jeff White as the president of India and SAARC to lead its sales and operations in the region.

He will be replacing Naresh Wadhwa and will be reporting to Jamie Valles, president of Cisco in Asia-Pacific, Japan and greater china (APJC). White will also take up the role of the chairman of a new India board, which comprises of senior executives from Cisco's headquarters and India.

Wadhwa was with Cisco for about 15 years and left the company recently to float his own venture with a focus on technology infrastructure.

He will be working along with Faiyaz Shahpurwala, senior vice-president, Industry Solutions and India site leader and Wim Elfrink, executive vice-president, industry solutions and chief globalization officer.

White has been with Cisco since 1997 handling various portfolios.

Prior to this assignment, White served as the vice-president of Service Provider Business for the APJC region.
