iYogi takes customer data protection to another level

iYogi is the first consumer services company from India to achieve the ISO 27001:2013 certification for Customer Data Protection by the BSI.

NEW DELHI, INDIA: iYogi, a global provider of software and tech support services has become the first consumer services company from India to achieve the ISO 27001:2013 certification for Information Security and Data Protection by the British Standards Institute (BSI) Group. The certification recognizes iYogi for its robust and sophisticated data security processes, specifically aimed at securing customer information from identity theft, and safeguarding their privacy.

iYogi has a vast data base for consumers and small businesses in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Spain and India. Designed and built by the in-house team, the security solution offers multiple protection layers. Vishal Dhar, co-founder and President – Marketing, iYogi said, “Data trafficking has emerged as a real threat to consumer privacy, and we are extremely vigilant when it comes to information security. The ISO 27001:2103 certification is granted on the basis of a rigorous audit of people, processes and IT systems, and it is a proud moment for us.”

Published in September 2013, the latest ISO 27001:2013 standard is the recognized international benchmark for information security management, outlining the process to implement and uphold an independently assessed and certified information security management system (ISMS).
