Innovations and inventions in technology always reduce human efforts and increase process speed, thus boosting the efficiency and productivity of the company. However, many such innovations go unnoticed and, as a result, fail to get a massive reach and acceptance.

CIOL-Dataquest Enterprise Awards, which is reaching its eighth year, is aimed at recognizing and rewarding excellence among CIOs of Indian enterprises who have brought in some positive impact in their company with innovative implementations, thus giving visibility to their innovations.

This year's awards, called C-Change Enterprise Awards, will be announced at a gala ceremony to be held on August 19, 2011, at The Leela, Mumbai.

The awards will be decided by a jury headed by Ashok Soota, founder, Happiest Minds Technologies Pvt. Ltd, and ex-chairman of MindTree.

Leadership qualities, business-technology understanding, people orientation and performance through pioneering and innovating efforts are the pillars of the awards. The awards reckon excellence of CIOs in enabling their organizations become efficient and competitive.

While the previous year saw a new category called Project Management award, the awards this year have been changed and evolved further. This year there would be awards for Best Cloud Implementation, Security Implementation and for best IT Project Management, too.

The nomination process is already on and the last date for submitting your nomination has been extended to July 12 2011, so that the ones who missed out would get another chance to be part of this prestigious award process.
