According to certain reports the Android devices used by Army SOC wouldn't refresh properly and would need to be restarted too often while using some of its specialized apps. The iPhone allegedly runs one of the specialized apps used by the SOC that splits the screen between a video feed from an unmanned aircraft system (UAS) and its route. Apparently, the iPhone's graphics are "clear" and "unbelievable."

Although it’s unknown which model of Samsung Android phone the Army SOC uses, but according to some reports back in 2014, they used Galaxy Note. If we compare that with the iPhone 6s, the performance definitely differs. The first Galaxy Note was released in 2010 with impressive performance, but today it is an outdated device and would be incapable of running specialized military apps.

However, the latest Android flagship devices use Qualcomm's powerful Snapdragon 820 chip and lets them compete against Apple's A9 chip, which made the iPhone 6s the most powerful smartphone when it was first released.
