BANGALORE: Introduced in 2003, Giants pavilion continued to attract a lot of participants this year as well. Some of the prominent companies included Reliance Infocomm, AMD, Microsoft, Moser Baer, APC and Krome Computers.

AMD is showcasing its Athlon 64 processor desktop computer that is a gamers' delight. The stall attracted plenty of young gaming buffs who managed to get a hands-on experience of the processor. When AMD showcases itself in the Giants pavilion, one wonders how chip manufacturing giant Intel could be missing in action. This mystery would be solved when one visits the Digital Lifestyle pavilion where Intel prefers to display its presence in the digital home.

Reliance Infocomm has taken up a huge space in the pavilion and has on display its broadband converged home and office integrated services. Also on display are its other technologies like Digital Electronic News Gathering (DENG) operations.

Adding a local flavor to the proceedings was Microsoft, which is showcasing, for the first time, its India-specific project called Project Bhasha that encourages local language computing in the country. Eager visitors were intrigued by Microsoft's colorful Kannada and Hindi promotional displays and queued up for demonstrations.

Power solutions provider APC was another prominent exhibitor, which displayed its recently launched its 800 VA power inverter. This was done in an innovative way by projecting a home scenario where lights, fans, television and music system are shown to be powered by the inverter.

The stalls of Indian IT success stories Infosys and Satyam were fairly passive, with the stalls displaying video and print promos listing out the achievements of the companies.
