iSumbra opens operations in India

PUNE: iSumbra Corporation, a US IT solutions company headquartered in South California, would be opening its wholly owned subsidiary, Offshore Development Centers (India) Pvt. Ltd. in Pune.



iSumbra is focussed on verticals such as EDI and testing and has customers in logistics and freight forwarding. The Indian facility would be used as marketing set up to look for customers in freight forwarding and shipping in India, Singapore and Australia. Seshadri Naik, Center Manager said that all the development work would be done from this center.

The ODC, built an estimated cost of Rs 60 lakh, occupies 7,000 sq. feet and can house 35 technical consultants. Plans are to increase this number to 60 by March 2003.
