BANGALORE, INDIA: Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) of the Indian Satellite Research Organisation (ISRO) might launch its Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle C-20 (PSLV C-20) somewhere around the fourth week of February, going by media reports.
It will carry two payloads as a part of the 400-kg SARAL (Satellite for Argos-3 and Altika), which are developed by French space agency, CNES. SARAL is designed to study ocean currents and sea surface heights.
Its launch by PSLV C-20 from Sriharikota would take place any time between February 22 and 25 and the vehicle will also put six other satellites into orbit, stated The Hindu.
SARAL's payloads are Argos-3 for data collection and Altikameter for measuring the height of the sea surface.
