iSOFT secures $7.84 mn in different deals

CHENNAI, INDIA: iSOFT Group Limited, Australia's listed health information technology company today announced it signed contracts totaling more than $7.84 million in August and September.

In the largest of the several deals, worth £1.34 million ($2.14 million), iSOFT agreed to continue supporting its patient administration system (PAS) with Frimley Park Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in Surrey, England, for three more years, said a press release.

Frimley Park is the fifth NHS trust in southern England this year to extend support agreements after upgrading to the latest version of PatientCentre PAS.

Meanwhile iSOFT also entered the Peru market with a €820,000 ($1192034)contract for a hospital information system (HIS) at six private hospitals in the Lima region. The deal, which boosts the company’s global footprint to 40 countries, follows agreements with Mexico and Honduras in the past year as it seeks growth opportunities in Latin America, the release further said.

In Germany, ISOFT won orders with two new customers totaling €1.08 million ($1.57 million). While Kreiskrankenhaus Frankenberg has committed to iSOFT’s HIS for six years, Klinik Vincentinum, Augsburg, agreed on a five-year contract for a radiology information system in a license-only deal.

In the Netherlands, iSOFT agreed on a services contract worth more than €500,000 ($726,850).

In Australia, the company won orders worth $1.9 million ($1.66 million) as Victoria Health continues to implement iSOFT’s i.Patient Manager (i.PM) solution in acute care and community care settings across the state. To date, iSOFT and Victoria Health have implemented i.PM in seven agencies, with an additional three currently in progress.

“These contracts demonstrate iSOFT’s strategy of strengthening our presence in our core markets in Australia, Europe and the U.K, while at the same time leveraging our global brand by securing new customers in identified growth markets in Latin America,” said Gary Cohen, executive chairman & CEO.
