NEW DELHI: Ishoni Networks has announced the general availability of its Core

Software 2.0 product that allows broadband CPE manufacturers to more easily and

quickly develop Integrated Access Devices (IADs) and residential gateways with

advanced networking capabilities. Ishoni's Core Software 2.0 builds on its Core

Software 1.1 release by adding improved routing and bridging capabilities to

give CPE manufacturers the most powerful and flexible broadband platform

available.

Ishoni's Core Software 2.0 has significant enhancements to the company's

ExpressPath" Processor, which is a dedicated CPU that allows it to process

data packets more quickly than competing solutions.

Using the new high-performance ExpressPath" IP Stack, CPE makers can

quickly create a product that supports wire-speed broadband Internet or data

access with security hooks while toll-quality Voice-over-Broadband telephone

calls are active simultaneously.

Ishoni Core Software 2.0's network-management and voice-processing features

also have been expanded. The software adds SNMP (V1 & V3) agents that allow

service providers to remotely configure broadband CPE and several protocol and

voice-handling components that allow CPE manufacturers to develop software for

voice connectivity with leading voice gateway vendors.
