Is Shah Rukh Khan new brand ambassador for Apple?

Looks like Apple "fans" will have a real fan moment soon. If sources are to be believed, Apple will be making Bollywood film star Shah Rukh Khan a brand ambassador for India, preparing themselves for a true King Khan style launch in the country.

Apple plans to announce it formally later this year when they launch new iPhones in India said local website PC Tablet. Though, if we follow patterns from last year, there will be a month or a couple of month's gap between Apple's normal U.S. launch window in September. Just like the iPhone 6s arrived in India in October.

The company has been making efforts to create a lot of noise in our country. They recently declared that India will be a focal point of future expansion as the pace of growth has slowed in China. Apple CEO had cited that the arrival of new LTE networks in the country could propel iPhone sales beyond a small 2 percent market share.

Apple phones enjoy celebrity status themselves, what better way to promote it than a celebrity himself. If we talk about the brand's "ambassadors" elsewhere, they have the Brazilian-born soccer player Neymar, or NBA player Steph Curry in the U.S. Celebs definitely help to cater to a larger market for Apple products and hence they end up attracting right attention through their celebrity.

Not to forget, Apple CEO Tim Cook during his trip to India last month, did attend a star-studded dinner party hosted by Khan. However, what will be interesting to know is that, whether Cook made the trip with appointing Khan in mind, or if the idea of using him came after his trip to India.
