Now, there seems more evidence validating the rumors about the next Android OS being named Jelly Bean.

As most of the Andoid OS were lined up alphabetically, after Ice Cream Sandwich, there is strong possibility that the name of the next one might begin with 'J'.

The latest information about the name comes from Asus's corporate vice-president Benson Lin, who revealed it in an exclusive interview with Tech Radar.

At the interview, Lin said, "Asus is very close to Google, so once they have Android 5.0, I think there will be a high possibility that we will be the first wave to offer the Jelly Bean update."

This bit of information might not come as a surprise as Asus is generally quick in offering Android updates, reports Tech2, adding that Asus was the first brand to release Ice Cream Sandwich on a tablet — the Asus Transformer Prime.
