We are barely 24 hours away from Apple's big launch day of 2017 when the Cupertino giant is expected to unveil not one but three new iPhone models. And though we know quite a bit about the upcoming iPhones, looks like the names weren't set right up till now. From iPhone 7s, iPhone 7s plus and iPhone 8, we now have new nameplates that read iPhone 8, iPhone 8 plus and iPhone X, thanks to developer Steve Troughton-Smith.

Let's start on the design front- Apple's 10th-anniversary special model- iPhone X is expected to ship with a bezel-free OLED display bringing in the biggest design overhaul for iPhone series. Besides, a facial scanner is also certainly expected to make a show in the upcoming device. Thanks to latest massive iOS 11 software leak, the technology has a name too- Face ID. The leak also points to an animation for setting up the feature that involves the user moving their face around for the camera, similar to what we’ve all been doing for years now in the fingerprint scanning setup process.

We'll surely have dual-cameras on board yet again but with a slight design change. Instead of a horizontal line-up, this time the cameras will stack vertically with much-improved depth sensing. Apple is also said to be finally adding wireless charging to its entire line of phones.

On the performance front, the upcoming 5.8-inch OLED iPhone X and the 5.5-inch iPhone 8 Plus will both offer 3GB RAM while the 4.7-inch iPhone 8 will include 2GB RAM falling in line with KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predictions, who previously suggested the two larger devices would have 3GB RAM while the smaller 4.7-inch iPhone would continue to offer 2GB RAM.

Last but not the least is the pricing of the upcoming models. Rumor mills suggest that the premium model will be priced around $1,000 to $1,200 with the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus coming in at a tad cheaper price points. But the real issue would be the availability. According to various reports, iPhone X is going to ship later than the series 8 fellows.
