iPhone X pre-orders to start from October 27

Apple has confirmed that its tenth anniversary special, iPhone X will be available to pre-order from October 27 in India along with many other countries including Australia, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Russia, the UK, and the US, among others. The phone will be officially available in 55  countries and in Apple Stores from November 3.

In India, the iPhone X will be available in two variants. The 64 GB variant will cost Rs 89,000 while the 256 GB one will cost roughly Rs 1,00,000. The iPhone X is the first smartphone from Apple to feature edge-to-edge 5.8-inch Super Retina OLED display panel with 2436 by 1125 pixel resolution and 458 PPI pixel density. The device will be powered by a 64-bit hex-core A11 Bionic chip with two high-performance cores and four high-efficiency cores.

The smartphone is a major design upgrade for Apple, featuring a screen that covers its face and Face ID support for facial scanning. Apple’s iPhone X also comes with wireless charging and is the first from Apple not to have a physical home button. Apple has packed a 12 MP dual camera setup on the back of the device with a f/1.8 wide-angle lens and a f/2.4 telephoto lens. Both the camera sensors in the dual camera setup come with optical image stabilization. The device also packs a quad LED two-tone flash unit between the two camera modules.

Apple has also announced new accessories including leather and silicone cases for the iPhone X that will be available for Rs 3,500 along and Lightning Docks 'in color-matching metallic finishes' which will be available for a price of Rs 4,700.
