IONA appoints Sonata as national distributor

BANGALORE: IONA Technologies, the leading e-Business Platform provider for Web

Services Integration has announced its alliance with Sonata Information

Technology Ltd. (SITL), to deliver Web Services Integration solutions to

companies in the telecommunications, finance and manufacturing segments. SITL

will follow a channel network consisting of premium partners, value added

resellers and Systems Integrators in the country.






Commenting further, SITL Senior Business Manager, Mohan Muthuraj said, "We
will be shortly identifying VARs and resellers who would be roped in to resell

IONA’s flagship product across India." In a strategic move to promote the

product, the company plans to target the telecom, finance and manufacturing

segments in India Sonata will be organizing seminars across the country.






SITL will incorporate IONA's Orbix E2A ( End 2 Anywhere) Web Service Integration
Platform into its offerings to help telecommunications customers integrate

switching systems, wireless systems, optical networks, VoIP offerings and DSL

support systems. SITL will also leverage Orbix E2A to help companies in the

financial services market integrate mainframe and Web-based applications and

business processes addressing cash management, foreign currency exchange,

electronic payment processing and loan servicing activities.
