One of the forthcoming and planned projects of ELCIA is to create and get a township status for Electronic City. Currently ELCIA only maintains the entire area but a natural development for a well managed system will be to rise to a township status. This will include provisioning for overall facilities, better infrastructure and will need permanent solutions for critical matters as waste management, etc. ELCIA has close to 200 members.

Rama says that while there are odds, obstacles and challenges, things have to move on as per schedule. Sometimes decision making can be better but these are not show stoppers. One must be passionate and want to see a change, then there is a better approach to handling things. To have and pursue a common goal is very important, one should realize that there is no point in cribbing about a bad system, its critical to have great clarity in the objectives and come together as a group and pursue with a focus.

When asked on how she manages all this, she says, “ I love doing things passionately, look at the vast opportunities life gives and when you work together as a single unit, you achieve something significant, its never a individual achievement, its always of the group”
