He shares his view of past, present and future.

Of the many trends and buzzwords circling the industry presently, what has caught your attention so far?

I feel this concept of ‘Internet of Things' would be an extremely exciting game-changer for the industry. The idea of many machines being in sync and its many potential possibilities is very potent. I also am intrigued with BYOD.

Any concerns with increasing consumerisation of IT though?

The only part it requires to ensure is that more of security policies are taken care of. They should be well looked into when it comes down to compliance. A lot of information security issues have to be and can be properly adhered to if one wants and approaches it the right way.

Is the industry grappling with any lacunae?

If you mean gaps, I won't call them exactly that. Every trend takes it time and evolution to achieve maturity. Hybrid cloud is an interesting area and if it can traverse security and infrastructure adequately with enough alignment to current strategies, it would be a good-to-watch trend.

What was a major move last year at your organization?

We underwent a critical shift to Cloud and also managed to roll on a new website with some significant changes.
