CMC has selected the Praetorian Intelligent Surveillance Software from US, Department of Defense and Intelligence Agency supplier, L-3 Communications Inc. The software has the ability to detect threats and suspicious behavior by analyzing live video information from surveillance cameras positioned hundreds of miles away.

The technology uses 3-D modeling to greatly improve the situational awareness of operators thereby dramatically improving their ability to intervene preemptively. Also included are vision-based alarms that automatically detect events-of-interest in real time video as well as in forensic video.

“I am most encouraged by CMC’s selection of the Praetorian Product Suite for distribution and implementation across India” said Barry Higgins, president and CEO of Praetorian Asia-Pacific Inc., the company that holds the exclusive rights to the software throughout the Asia-Pacific region.

“Not only do they have the capability and infrastructure to put this technology where it is most needed, but CMC has outstanding software development capability that I am hoping will lead to new intellectual property in this emerging field,“ he added.
