BANGALORE, INDIA: With adverse lifestyle changes like stress, unbalanced nutrition and pollution causing a rise in hormonal disorders, the US-based Belle Sante Diagnostic and Therapeutic Institute, a subsidiary of Fort Wayne Endocrinology, USA is to change the medical records system by digitizing all records including clinical research in India.

Talking to CIOL, Ashok Kadambi, president of Fort Wayne (Endocrinology) said, “we have been hearing about medical software mainly to handle billing, stocks but not for clinical finding, prescriptions and research. But now we have installed a clinical software that will provide multi feels at the same time. This will help in keeping track of a patients’ medical history and generate complete records at any time.”

The parent institute has purchased $25,000 Noteworthy server especially designed for storage of clinical research and digitized records. “We plan to replace the same in India as well and since some doctors are based out of USA, it would be easy to monitor the progress of the patients and suggest accordingly,” says Kadambi.

The company has invested about Rs 2 crore to set up a center in Bangalore including a web server. “Presently, we are in talks to open franchisee in New Delhi and Mumbai besides also open overseas centers in China and Middle East Asia,’’ he said.

Diseases like Obesity, Cancer, Chronic fatigue syndrome, Thyroid disorder, Andropause, Asteoporosis, Alzheimer, Diabetes, Infertility, Ageing are some of the major complaints caused due to chronic stress. In fact, these syndromes lead to drop in hormones levels and the institute provides natural hormones replacements resulting in enhanced lifestyle.

“These problems, which occur due to decline of hormones in the body, are part of the ageing process. More ever, urban lifestyles are intensifying them further. So timely management of hormonal imbalances by measuring hormone levels and detecting deficiencies early can prevent problems, Kadambi adds.
