New Update
Instagram allows business users to schedule their posts

Instagram is now allowing business users to schedule their posts. The company announced this feature on its blog. Currently, the feature is applicable to only photos, not videos and it is available only through third-party social management tools. If you want the scheduling feature, you have to pay for subscription services like HootSuite, SproutSocial or any of the Facebook Marketing Partners or Instagram Partners.

Ryan Holmes, the CEO of HootSuite, said, "The scheduling and publishing of Instagram content have been the number one request for our 16 million customers. Now, they can manage large volumes of content, multiple team members and multiple Instagram accounts with ease and security. HootSuite is excited to partner with Instagram to make this happen."

Other updates to the Instagram Graph API today include Business Discovery, which lets users view profile info of other businesses, and Mentions, which allows business profiles to view posts they’ve been tagged in. The company said, "These added features allow for better content planning and secure account management, removing the need for employees to share login credentials to gain account access to insights or create a post."

The new update is currently limited to only business users but Instagram announced that a solution for non-business profiles is currently in the works, with the release likely to happen next year.
