Infy salary hike imminent: Analysts

BANGALORE: IT bellwether Infosys Technologies is looking at announcing around 15% salary hike for its employees this month. According to some analysts, the company may announce this on April 14, 2006, coinciding with its quarterly results. "The company's operating margin for the first and second quarter of 2006-07, will be impacted due to the salary hike. This will affect the bottomline also," said an analyst.





Commenting on the upcoming Infosys results, analysts believe that the company may post around 35 percent growth in its revenues over the last year. "During the third quarter, the company gave a guidance of achieving around 33 percent growth. The company had a good fourth quarter and we expect over Rs 9600 crore revenue for the whole year," he said.





According to some of the analysts, the company is looking at issuing 1:1 bonus share for its investors on its 25th anniversary.





Meanwhile, India's largest IT company Tata Consultancy Services Ltd (TCS) is announcing its results on April 17, 2006. Wipro Ltd and Satyam Computers would be announcing their financial results on April 19 and April 21, 2006.
