BANGALORE: Indian computer software bluechip Infosys Technologies added 26
new clients in the third quarter ending December 31, business news channel CNBC
India said on Tuesday.
CNBC said Infosys had 266 clients by the end of the third quarter, up from
240 at the end of the second quarter.
Infosys earlier on Tuesday said third-quarter net profit surged 125 per cent
to Rs 1.66 billion ($35.63 million), matching analysts expectations.
Infosys is scheduled to issue further details of its results later in the
morning.
In mid-morning trade, shares of Infosys had pared early losses and were down
Rs 8.40 at Rs 5,998.75 on the Bombay Stock Exchange, up an early low of Rs
5,840, in a flat market.
Bangalore-based Infosys, a darling of the Indian markets, offers computer
software services to customers that include global giants Boeing Co, Cisco
Systems, Reebok International and Visa International.
