NEW DELHI: Having grown at more than 100 percent per annum for the last eight years, Info Edge (I) Pvt Ltd, creators of Naukri.com and Jeevansaathi.com, is targeting revenue of Rs 100 crore and a PBT of Rs 30 crore for FY 2005-06.
The company recorded revenue of Rs 45 crore and PBT of Rs 13 crore in FY 2004-05. The company currently has an employee base of 680, which is likely to touch 1,000 by this year-end.
Info Edge CEO Sanjeev Bikhchandani attributed the ambitious growth targets to increased Internet penetration in the country and the new products being launched by the company.
Info Edge currently has 80,000 live job listings on India's number one jobsite naukri.com. Its matrimonial website jeevansathi.com has shown 1600 percent growth in revenue in the last 11 months.
Riding on this success wave, the company is planning to further expand its presence internationally by opening an office in Dubai. It is also planning to launch local matrimonial and job sites in Middle East and South Asia.
The company is also targeting overseas clients through its Noida call center, which sells in the US and other markets.
Bikhchandani also informed that the company is planning to launch two—three more businesses on the Internet in the next 12 months. The company is eyeing potential new businesses like education, local classified sites and industrial yellow pages.
