The first ODI match between India and Pakistan is being hosted at M.A.Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai, the tickets for which are now available online. Viewers can book their tickets on BookMyShow, and the Web pick up counter will be open from December 27 to 29 (morning 10am to evening 6pm). The online tickets cost between Rs. 2000 and 15,000 and viewers can purchase a maximum of ten tickets online.

Such is the frenzy surrounding this tour that the tickets in the Rs. 2000 and 5000 category are already sold out. The online tickets have encouraged viewers to book the tickets from the comfort of their homes, which has lead to this massive demand. Even the tickets for the T20 match tomorrow are almost sold out on BookMyShow.

However, in what seems to be a bid to keep up with viewers' demand, BookMyShow has added a few more tickets that can be purchased online. Tickets in the Rs. 5000 (A-Lower) and Rs. 6000 (A-Executive) category are now available on the website. But, viewers can purchase a maximum of only two tickets online.

The lack of tickets online has also led viewers to turn to other sites wherein tickets are being sold at inflated prices. Although, we would like to inform viewers that the official website for purchasing tickets online is BookMyShow. Hence, it could be illegal to buy and sell tickets at inflated prices elsewhere.

What are your views on the online tickets? Has the availability of tickets online encouraged you to watch the match in the stadium? Or do you still prefer to watch the match on television? Do let us know.
