India, SA set up IT/Communication JWC

NEW DELHI: India and South Africa reiterated that a multi-disciplinary Joint Working Committee (JWC) may be set up after establishing the area of cooperation. This was agreed when minister of communications, South Africa Mastepe Casaburri called on the minister of communications and IT, Dayanidhi Maran.





According to a press release, both the sides recognized the need to work out a new MoU in the field of communications, which will be finalized during the Indian President's visit to South Africa. The visiting dignitary held wide-ranging discussions with his counterpart in the areas of mutual cooperation IT, telecom and postal.
