NEW DELHI, INDIA: The number of telephone subscribers in India has increased to 671.69 million at the end of June-2010 from 653.92 million in May-2010.
As per the figures data released by Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) today, it has registered a growth of 2.72 per cent, said an official statement.

With this, the overall tele-density in India has reached 56.83 per cent.
Wireless subscriber base has increased from 617.53 million in May-2010 to 635.51 million at the end of June-2010 registering a growth of 2.91 per cent. Wireless tele-density stands at 53.77.
