IIHT, Dell to offer DaaS on cloud

MUMBAI, INDIA: IIHT Cloud Solutions Pvt. Ltd,. a subsidiary arm of IIHT Limited, on Monday announced Dell as its platform to create a vertical cloud services solution for IT Training, Test and Development Industry.

The IIHT Cloud Solutions formed a consortium of best solution providers comprising of ESDS and Nestor to power its Cloud Platform, said a press release.

The modular architecture and the port density of the switching fabric helps in reducing overall space requirements and network/cable management ship in the enterprise technology and datacenter realms, but also exemplifies Dell's continued commitment to engaging with partners to address these key focus areas, claimed the company.

Commenting on the win, Mahesh Bhalla, executive director and GM, Consumer and SMB, Dell India, said, “Our continued success in delivering datacenter solutions to SMBs is testament to our robust portfolio of storage, server and networking solutions and related services. We are extremely happy to partner with companies such as IIHT, ESDS and Nestor in their drive to innovate in the virtual era.”

He continued, “As an architect my challenge was to build a cloud platform which gives an experience as close to a real Data Center infrastructure and is highly capable of supporting real-time experiential cloud service which is accessible anywhere, anytime and on any device instantly on demand.

He added that the Dell Blade solutions enabled them to build the scale and density required for the cloud and Dell Force10 z9000 network switches allowed us to build a highly scalable 320 Gbps throughput IP SAN to support the instant provisioning.
