BANGALORE, INDIA: The time for Indian product story is ripe as the country's IT industry is shifting on from the leadership stage in the services sector towards the IP and products phase. In a multi-billion dollar market, product leaders are a key component of the process to accelerate the product ecosystem in India.

Across the spectrum ranging from multinational companies to startups, there is an echoing need for product professionals both product managers and product architects alike who can bring in a transformation into the IT industry.

In a commitment to address this echoing need and to empower aspiring product leaders of the IT hub of India, IEEE Bangalore Section, part of the world's largest professional association for the advancement of technology and Institute of Product Leadership, India's first B school which is designed by senior product practitioners has signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

This pact is aimed at bringing value to IEEE professional members of Bangalore, grooming them with competent expertise to emerge successful product leaders and accelerate the transition from project to product mindsets and skill sets.

The key elements agreed out of this MoU are that IPL and IEEE will be the outreach partners for respective talks or conferences or seminars or courses. IPL will be conduct customized programs specifically for IEEE members around Product Management, Product Architecture and Senior Technical Leadership Programs for Engineering Managers.

IPL is also offering Certificate Program in Product Management & Market (ICPM), Asia's first ‘mini' MBA, to the senior IEEE members at preferential rates. Participants of IPL's open program will be paired with senior product executives from IEEE for 1:1 mentoring and live project internships as part of their 100-Day Industry Immersion program.
