IBM’s IDEA entrance test on August 4

BANGALORE: IBM India has announced the National Entrance Test for entry into the IBM Advanced Certificate in Integration and Development of Enterprise Applications (IBM IDEA) course. The Entrance Test will be held on August 4, 2002 in about 68 centers across the country. This is the only structured course on Enterprise Application Development and Integration offered at Centers offering IBM Advanced Career Education (IBM-ACE).

Results will be declared on August 12, 2002. The course commences on August 19, 2002. The IBM IDEA course is open to graduates and post - graduates from Engineering and Science disciplines. The IBM IDEA is a course that would provide all the skills required for present and future enterprise application development. This advanced course provides a strong programming foundation and builds proficiency in Object Oriented Programming, Web Application Development, e-business application development and Integration.

The IBM IDEA course is a program over nine months, to train graduates and post graduates in the latest and most industry relevant next generation application development tools in IT. The students will be awarded an IBM certificate at the end of the course.

The IBM IDEA course has been designed keeping the key skills required for success in the IT industry today. Inputs from an in-depth survey conducted amongst prospective employers, industry experts, academics, current and prospective students have ensured that the course stays relevant and superior in its offerings.
