IBM ISL director passes away

BANGALORE: IBM India Software Labs, Director, Uday Shukla breathed his last today after taking ill late last week. A spokesperson for IBM in Bangalore confirmed the news.

Sources revealed that he was admitted to a city hospital with complaints of infection, which was later diagnosed to be serious, before he succumbed on Tuesday morning.



Shukla, was over 50 and had served IBM for over 10 years holding various positions, including as the head of IBM Global Services India before being appointed as the director of IBM's India Software Labs.



IBM India Software Labs was earlier a small core group formed in 1992, and was formally established in India in February 2001 at Bangalore and Pune.
