IBM inks $3.1 mn 'green' deal with Religare

BANGALORE, INDIA: IT major IBM today announced that it has entered into a $3.1 million agreement with Religare Enterprises Limited, a financial service group, to provide REL with three energy-efficient and green scalable modular data centers (SMDC).

It would design, build and maintain highly scalable, modular and energy-efficient green data centers in Delhi, Noida and Mumbai for REL, said a press release.

IBM would also bring out a networking infrastructure and disaster recovery solution for the company. The solution implemented by IBM would help REL reduce annual power costs by 30-35 per cent and enable them to effectively meet technology requirements of the company’s expanding business, it added.
