Disclosing this to CyberMedia News on the sidelines of the Autotech 2006, a conference on IT for Excellence in Automotive Engineering, organized by the Southern Region chapter of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Dr Jung K Paeng, senior vice president and CIO of Hyundai Motor Company, said this follows the successful implementation of CRM solutions by the company.

CRM was a success as a pilot project. This year our focus will be on ERP in the second facility, by replacing all the legacy systems, which would give us better benefits as a foreign investor,” Dr Paeng said.

“We would also be setting up a development center, near Chennai, which would focus on CAD, CAM and CAE for our global operations,” he said adding that India provided a good growth opportunity given the availability of good human resources with high education and IT expertise.
