Hybrid Certificate Programme pilot batch graduates

BANGALORE: U21Global today announced the graduation of the pilot batch of 45 Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IndianOil) employees from the exclusive Hybrid Certificate Programme in Project Management.

The graduation ceremony was held in Singapore and was addressed by Sarthak Behuria, chairman, Indian Oil Corporation Limited and Dr Mukesh Aghi, chief executive officer, U21Global.

The Hybrid Certificate Programme in Project Management commenced on August 18th, 2006. This 15 week online programme was developed by IndianOil Institute of Petroleum Management in association with U21Global to enhance and build global project management skills of IOC managers.

This programme was customised to meet IndianOil's requirements of preparing their managers for project management by helping them foresee things and events and plan and act accordingly to international standards.

Speaking on the ceremony Dr Aghi, said “It is with great pleasure that we host the passing out of this first batch of graduates in Singapore and we extend our congratulations to each one of them. We are looking forward to our continued association and success with all future batches of IndianOil managers.”

The highlight of the ceremony was the announcement of the top performers in the “Open Book Open Web” examination conducted by U21Global. Rakesh Kumar Mishra, deputy manager, Construction, Pipelines Division, Jaipur and Randhir Kumar, deputy project manager, Pipelines Division, H.O. were unanimously named "star performer" and "excellent performer" respectively by the U21Global faculty. They were each awarded with a medal and cash reward for their achievement.

Speaking on the occasion Behuria of IOC said, “We are delighted with our association with U21Global and particularly with the progress of the pilot batch. The Hybrid Certificate Programme in Project Management has heightened the project management skills of IndianOil managers. Now our managers will be able to incorporate the internationally accepted best practices in project management and deepen their global project management capabilities.”
