Keysight A D Symposium

NEW DELHI, INDIA:  Keysight Technologies Inc recently hosted Aerospace and Defense Symposium addressing innovating advanced test systems and solutions that deliver mission critical results using accurate test and measurement tools.  As a keynote speaker,  Union Minister of State, Ministry of Defence - Rao Inderjit Singh said that India should now compete with technologically advanced nations.

Rao said that the Ministry of Defence (MoD) aims to create conditions conducive for domestic manufacturers, both public and private, to play an active role in strategic electronics domain.  “We are aiming at expediting decision making, as well as simplifying contractual and financial provisions to establish a level playing field for the Indian companies to compete with the foreign firms,” he added.

Rao also believes that there are huge opportunities for collaboration and creation of joint ventures in the Defence Electronics sector in India. “However, the window of opportunity linked with and must benefit from the big ticket acquisitions and offset opportunities.  Major companies in the global aviation industry are keenly watching the local market in India and scouting for working with and outsource to the Indian companies for A&D products as India is fast emerging as a center for Engineering and Design services,” he said.
