Honor 9 Lite with four cameras launched in China

Huawei launched its newest flagship smartphone named Honor 9 Lite in China. Honor 9 Lite is priced at 1,199 yuan (Rs 11,600) for the base 3GB RAM+32GB storage variant and 1,499 yuan (Rs 15,600) for the 4GB RAM+ 32GB storage variant. The 4GB RAM+ 64GB Storage variant costs 1,799 yuan (Rs 17,500). The storage can be expanded up to 256GB via a microSD card.

Coming to the specifications of the phone, the phone features 5.65-inch Full HD+ IPS display(1080x2160) with 18:9 aspect ratio. The main highlight of the phone is the dual camera setup at the front and back. The smartphone comes with 13MP+2MP dual camera setup at the front as well as back. The cameras come with LED flash and PDAF autofocus.

Honor 9 Lite is powered by Huawei’s Octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 659 processor, clocked at up to 2.36GHz. The Honor 9 Lite runs on EMUI 8.0, based on Android 8.0 Oreo. The smartphone is backed by a 3,000mAh battery - which the company claims to deliver a talk time of up to 20 hours on 3G, and a standby time of up to 24 days. The company claims to charge 100 percent in about 2 hours and 20 minutes.

Other features include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and Micro-USB with OTG support. Sensors on Honor 9 Lite include Accelerometer, Ambient Light sensor, Digital compass, and Proximity sensor.

According to a report in GizmoChina, the smartphone will go on sale on December 20 in China and 14 countries soon after including India, Russia, and the UK. The device will come in Navy Blue, Seagull Gray, Magic Nightfall and Pearl White color options.
