Huawei partners ibibo, launches gaming apps

NEW DELHI, INDIA: Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. has announced a strategic partnership with social and casual gaming platform ibibo to give its young mobile users the best of gaming experience.

Huawei's partnership with ibibo will enable the youth who is driven by the gaming world, now to experience new premium, social and multiplayer games on their mobile, said a press release.

Anand Narang, marketing director at Huawei Devices said, "Mobile handsets are increasingly becoming a prominent device of choice when it comes to engaging oneself, especially when it is the young users."

"With gaming becoming an enriching experience for the young customers, our partnership with ibibo hence will provide striking offerings embedded in the handsets, which will hence reinforce our commitment towards our valuable customers," added Narang.

The company claims that it is emerging as a strong player in the Indian devices market and aims to be the top 5 OEM handset brand world-wide.

Confirming the news, Rahul Razdan, president — operations and Product at ibibo.com said, "It’s indeed a special stage to be associated with China’s leading technology company Huawei. ibibo looks forward to go hand in hand with Huawei to provide ibibo’s few of the extravagant gaming experience to its valuable customers."

According to the release, ibibo will also provide its compact mobile internet browser - iBrowser to Huawei. In addition, it also allows Huawei users to use ibibo’s social networking applications like Free Call / Free SMS on their handset.
